BMW improvements entire petrol product array in India to conform to BS VI emission norms

German luxurious carmaker BMW on Wednesday said it has improved its entire petrol car array in India to conform to BS VI emission rules.

The automaker said it is currently attempting to upgrade its diesel variety to conform to more stringent emission norms which kick in the nation from April, 1 next season.

The petrol portfolio has already been BS VI compliant although, the diesel portfolio is going to be converted ahead of stipulated timelines, BMW India said within a declaration.

The company’s Chennai-based plant has started community manufacture of BS VI diesel variants in the 5 Range and 6 Range Gran Turismo and is also gearing approximately roll out new X1, it extra.

“The complete petrol portfolio is already BS VI compliant whilst the diesel portfolio will be transformed before stipulated timelines. BMW Group Grow Chennai has started local production of BS VI diesel versions from the BMW 5 as well as the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo,” BMW India stated inside a assertion.

The creation of BS VI model of the BMW X1 may also start quickly, it added.
