Centre looks to issue G-secs without foreign limits in first half of FY21

The Middle is looking to issue in the first one half of 2020-21 a unique series of government securities (G-secs) that will not have any limit for international portfolio investors (FPIs). Global connection indices may include Indian G-secs after such issuances, that can attract much more overseas funds. “We should be able to get it done reasonably quick, probably in the first one half of the arriving fiscal calendar year,” Primary Monetary Expert Sanjeev Sanyal told Business Normal. The master plan was spelt out by Financing Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her own 2020-21 Union Budget speech. “
