Consume foods rich in antioxidants


Your body needs ample supply of antioxidants to fight off cell damage caused by free radicals. If you are facing constant lethargy and chronic fatigue, there is a high chance that your body is lacking in antioxidants.

Include these foods in your diet that are rich in antioxidants.


Fruits that belong to the citrus family are rich in antioxidants. Lemon is one of the best antioxidant foods you can have. Oranges and lime are also good sources of antioxidants. Remember that vitamin C cannot be stored in your body for later use, so ensure that you take in enough vitamin C every day.


Rich in vitamin E, nuts are an ideal food source that are filled with antioxidants. Unlike vitamin C, the liver stores vitamin E along with fat. Almonds, walnuts, pistachios and pecans are good for you.


The greener cousin of cauliflower, broccoli is also a good source of vitamin C. It is also packed with selenium that assists in fighting off cell damage. You can eat broccoli after roasting, sautéing or steaming.


Fish too is a rich source of selenium that is essential in preventing damage caused by free radicals. Shellfish are particularly rich in antioxidants so add mussels and shrimps to your diet. They are also rich in iron, zinc, niacin and vitamin B12.


Cranberries are widely popular for its juice. They are abundant in flavonoids that improve the level of antioxidants in your body.

So add these foods to your diet to ensure an adequate antioxidant supply.
