Happy Guru Nanak Jayanti 2018: Gurpurab wishes, images, greetings, SMS, WhatsApp messages

Happy Guru Nanak Jayanti 2018 wishes, images, greetings: The birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the first Sikh Guru, is celebrated across the world as Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti or Gurpurab.
Born in 1469 on Kartik Pooranmashi, the full-moon day of the month, at a Bedi Kshatriya family in Rai Bhoi di Talwandi village, now in Pakistan, Guru Nanak laid the foundation of Sikhism.
Gurpurab is one of the most important festivals among the Sikhs who celebrate the day across the world. The celebrations begin with Akhand Path – an uninterrupted reading of the Sikh holy book Guru Granth Sahib from beginning to end — for 48 hours. The path ends early on the morning of Guru Nanak’s birthday.
The day of Gurpurab starts with Nagar Kirtan processions carrying the Sikh holy book, Guru Granth Sahib, in a palanquin decorated with flowers.
