Former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav has been sentenced to death by Pakistan by accusing him as a spy. The Indian government, which took the case to the international court, acquired a ban on the death penalty. India’s Pakistan Ambassadors were denied permission to meet him. But they accepted the request of India and granted permission Kulbhushan Jadhav’s mother and wife to meet him. Accordingly, the meeting was held at Pakistan’s External Affairs Ministry in Islamabad today.
Pakistan has said that they met Kulbhushan Jadhav between the security forces at the Pakistan External Affairs Ministry. They were given 30 minutes to talk with him.
Kulbhushan Jadhav was placed in the middle of the mirror without a direct speech. When his mother, Avanti and his wife Chetan Kul saw Jadhav were overwhelmed with tears. Jadhav saw them with pain. This meeting lasted 30 minutes. He thanked Pakistan for granting permission to see his mother and wife.
Pakistan declared this therefore is a humanitarian meeting and there is no diplomatic approach. During this Indian Ambassador JP Singh, who was there but not allowed to talk. We accepted Jadhav’s request and said we were allowed to keep the meeting for 10 minutes.
