Ladakh Standoff | China’s incursions in India are ‘indicative of their intentions’: Mike Pompeo


Amid the on-going stress between India and Chinese suppliers across the Type of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, america on Thursday said that ‘Beijing is testing the world’ using its incursions into Indian territory although the ‘tide is turning’.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo while handling a gathering spoke concerning the LAC standoff and China’s territorial statements in Bhutan and mentioned that Beijing under Preisdent Xi Jinping is “trying to discover whether other countries around the world are likely to drive back”.

“I feel the activities are entirely constant with what they are signaling around the world for decades you could possibly even fight since 1989 but certainly since Standard Assistant Xi (Jinping) stumbled on energy,” Pompeo explained, as documented by information agency PTI.

Indian and Chinese troops have already been kept in a nasty standoff in a number of regions along the Collection of True Manage in eastern Ladakh since May 5. The specific situation deteriorated last month after the Galwan Valley clashes that kept 20 Indian Army personnel dead.
