Indian native nationals residing in Iraq are advised to be alert and may steer clear of journey within Iraq. Our Embassy in Baghdad and Consulate in Erbil will continue to function normally to provide all services to Indians residing in Iraq,” MEA spoeksperson Raveesh Kumar stated within a assertion.
At the same time, reports agency ANI quoted authorities sources saying that all Indian native providers have already been informed to prevent airspace of the, Iran and Iraq Gulf following pressure in the region.
“We experienced organised gatherings with all the worried Airlines and possess sensitised them to remain vigilant and consider all safety measures,” the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said in a declaration.
About 25,000 Indians will work across Iraq, mainly in infrastructure and oil sectors. Erbil, the funds of north autonomous region of Kurdistan, provides the highest number of Indians, many of whom love trade.
The advisory came hrs after Iran released spanning a dozen ballistic missiles concentrating on at least two bases where US military and coalition forces’ are stationed in Iraq.
